UP by-polls: BSP leads in 8 in 11 assembly seats
Lucknow, Nov 10: Mayawati-led Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) has secured a massive lead in eight out of the eleven constituencies in Uttar Pradesh that went into polls on Saturday, Nov 7.
However, the results so far are not very encouraging for Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Both the parties have failed to take lead in any of the the seats.
In the lone Lok Sabha by-election in Ferozabad Congress' Raj Babbar was leading.
The election was neccessitated as the Mulayam Singh Yadav's son, Akilesh Yadav quit. SP fielded Mulayam's daughter-in-law, Dimple Yadav to is trailing against Congress; Babbar by at least 4,000 votes.
