17 new H1N1 fatalities take India's toll to 502
New Delhi, Nov 10: India's Swine Flu death toll has now surpassed the 500 mark with 17 new fatalities reported on Monday, Nov 9.
Out of the 17 H1N1 deaths, 15 were reported from Rajasthan, along with one death each from Kerala and Orissa taking the total toll to 502.
With these new deaths, the total H1N1 toll in Rajashtan mounts to 17.
"State health authorities of Rajasthan have communicated 14 deaths of laboratory confirmed cases from the various districts of Rajasthan," said an health official.
Six deaths occurred in Jaipur, five were reported from Jodhpur and three from Kota between Oct 7 and Nov 9.
Apart from this, 95 new cases of Swine flu were detected across the country, taking the total number of people affected with H1N1 to 14,572.
