Terror strikes Peshawar again, 3 killed in blast
Peshawar, Nov 9: In yet another suicide attack, a blast in Pakistan's Peshawar killed at least three people and injured over seven on Monday, Nov 9 morning.
Blast took place at Patang Chawk area of Peshawar in the limits of Faqirabad police station and the police cordoned off the area as soon as the explosion took place, reports Geo news.
Rescue operations were started off immediately and the injured were rushed to a hospital. While the injured includes a child, the three killed were a rickshaw driver, a police personnel and a passer-by.
AIG Bomb Disposal Squad Shafquat Malik told GEO news that at least 5 to 6 kilogram of explosives were used in the blast.
The suicide bomber detonated the explosives when the police signaled him to pull over at a picket. Authorities believe that the attacker did not plan on triggering off the blasts at the picket and was headed elsewhere. But due to stringent police checking, the bomber was forced to take this step.
