Jessica Lal Case: Accused spotted in pubs

New Delhi: The parole granted by Chief Minister Sheila Dixit to Jessica Lal murder accused Manu Sharma has come under the public scanner as the accused was spotted at Samrat Hotel's elite nightclub, in the wee hours on Nov 6 and at LAP on Nov 8.

The press conference given by Shakti Sharma, Manu Sharma's mother to the media at Chandigarh's Piccadilly Hotel on a national under-19 women's cricket tournament on Nov 6 has created quite a stir as the condition for giving the parole to the accused was the ailing condition of his mother.

While Sheila Dixit claims that the parole has been given as per the rules, question has also been raised on extension given to the one-month parole granted on Sep, 2009 to Nov 22.

Manu Sharma, son of the former Union Minister Venod Sharma, is serving life sentence at Delhi's Tihar jail for shooting model Jessica Lal in 1999.
