Madhu Koda not ready to be discharged: Hospital
Ranchi, Nov 7: Looks like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax (IT) Department waiting to arrest former Jharkhand Chief Minister, Madhu Koda in connection with hawala transactions and illegal investments will have to wait longer as Koda is expected to remain in the hospital.
Stating that Koda is still not ready to be discharged, Public Relations Officer of the Abdur Razzak Weavers Memorial Hospital, Javed Akhtar, said, "The doctors will take a decision tomorrow or the day after about his discharge."
Soon after the IT department started conducting raids on his property and investigating into his alleged disproportionate assets, Koda got himself admitted into the hospital complaining of severe stomach pain.
Hospital authorities are expected to inform ED and IT department before Koda is discharged.
On Friday, Nov 6, the ED made the first arrest in the case by arresting Vikas Sinha, an associate of Madhu Koda.
