Sino-Indian ties unaffected: Foreign Secy
New Delhi, Nov 4: Foreign secretary, Nirupama Rao on Wednesday, Nov 4, refuted claims of strain on Sino-Indian relations due to Dalai Lama's visit to Arunachal Pradesh on Nov 8.
"There is no strain on bilateral relation," Nirupama Roa said in response to speculation that the Dalai Lama's visit To Arunachal Pradesh, may have soured relationship between the two countries.
Rao said that the ties between India and China were set to acquire 'greater dynamism and relevance' despite outstanding issues like border issues which require greater political will from both countries.
Rao was addressing a seminar on South Asia organised by Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA).
