Time for a new chapter Obama warns Karzai

Washington, Nov 3: Afghanistan President, Hamid Karzai 's second time victory brought a reminder from President Barack Obama on the need to fight corruption, cooperation in training Afghan security forces, and in bringing about changes in the lives of Afghan people.

calling it to be a time to begin a new chapter, Obama told Karzai that the seriousness to pursue cooperation should be proved in action rather than words.

Karzai second term victory by default, came after his controversial victory in Aug 2009, in which he was forced to runoff following fraud investigations.

Even this election which was scheduled for Nov 7, his competitor Abdullah Abdullah withdraw from the election stating that it would be doomed by fraud just as the first voting in Aug 2009.
