Pakistan: Blast near Army HQ, 16 killed
Islamabad, Nov 2: At least 16 people were killed and dozens others injured after bomb blast rocked Pakistan's Rawalpindi city on Monday morning, Nov 2.
"Sixteen people were killed in the blast and another 17 wounded. The death toll may rise," an official was quoted by news agency as saying.
The explosion took place near a bank and a hotel in a neighborhood not far from the army's main headquarters.
Police official said the blast took place at the Shalimar Intersection. They also said that the explosives may have been planted in a car in a parking lot.
