India's Swine Flu toll mounts to 473
New Delhi, Nov 1: Eight more people succumbed to the deadly Swine Flu, taking the death toll in India to 473, health authorities said.
Four deaths were reported in Maharashtra, taking to toll in the state has gone up to 201.
One death each was reported from the Indian capital, Kerala, Rajasthan and Chandigarh, authorities said.
With this the death toll in Delhi has reached 17, while 15 people have succumbed to the virus in Kerala. In Rajasthan, two people have died since the first swine flu death was reported in the country on Aug 3.
77 new cases of Swine Flu were reported across the country, taking the number of affected people to 13,861
Out of the 77 new cases, 19 were from Tamil Nadu and 18 from Kerala. Delhi reported 12 new cases of Swine Flu on Saturday, followed by Maharashtra (9), Karnataka (7) and Gujarat (4).
