Margao blast: Goa police arrests two locals
Pananji, Oct 31: Goa police arrested two locals in connection with the blast in which took place in Margao on the eve of Diwali.
"We have arrested two persons in connection with the blast. Both are locals," Deputy Inspector General of Police Ravindra Yadav was quoted as saying in a news agency report.
The police have reportedly made the arrests based on information and clues they gathered from the mobile phone used by one of the two victims who died in the blast and was later named an accused. The man was identified to be Malgonda Patil.
However, the police have not revealed any details about those arrested.
In the blast that took place in fron the Grace church, the two people on the scooter carrying the explosives died. Both the victims were members of the right-wing Hindu group Sanatan Saunstha.
The deceased, Patil and Yogesh Naik were named as accused in the case.
