Another typhoon pounds Philippines with more rains

Manila, Oct 31: Yet another typhoon hit Philippine capital on Saturday, Oct 31 bringing down heavy rains and strong winds affecting more than 100,000 people.

In the fourth typhoon that has hit the country in a span of one month, fresh floods raised the water levels in the regions that still remain submerged from a recent storm.

People are seeking shelter in five province east and south of Manila in the path of Typhoon Mirinae on the main Luzon Island, say media reports.

A river in Laguna province south of the capital overflowed forcing the people to higher grounds.

There have been no reports of casualties. Rescue operations have been initiated.
