CPM's allegations against Mamata 'baseless': PC
New Delhi, Oct 30: Home Minister P Chidambaram has termed CPI-M leader Sitaram Yechury's allegations against Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee as 'baseless'.
Speaking to media persons here, Chidambaram said, "I am not at all happy that one political leader has made such allegations against another political leader."
Earlier, Sitaram Yechury had blamed that Mamata Banerjee had prior information about Maoists holding up the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express train in West Bengal on Tuesday, Oct 27.
Chidambaram said it was inconceivable that if the government had prior knowledge of the holding up of the Rajdhani Express, no action would have been taken.
