Chhattisgarh: Maoist killed in police encounter
Bijapur, Oct 25: A Maoist was killed by the security forces in an encounter in the dense forests of Bijapur District in Chhattisgarh on Sunday, Oct 25.
According to Chattisgarh Police, the encounter which started late on Saturday evening, Oct 24, is still continuing.
The security forces smelled the presence of about 30-40 red ultras in the forests.
Police party encountered the red rebels immediately after launching search operation based on a tip off.
The Chattisgarh Police confirmed the killing of a Maoist in the encounter and also added that the police party has recovered arms and ammunition including rifles and 15 kilograms of IED from their hideout.
