Raje alleges humiliation by BJP high command
New Delhi, Oct 24: In her resignation letter, Vasundhara Raje has reportedly alleged that he was humiliated by the Bhratiya Janata Party high command and that the party lacks democracy.
Raje ended her three-month long defiance when she finally resigned as the Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly on Friday, Oct 23.
She handed over her resignation letter to party's senior leader, LK Advani just before the BJP parliamentary board meeting was scheduled to commence.
Speaking to reporters after an hour long meeting, senior BJP leader Ananth Kumar said that the letter was presented at the meeting by party president Rajnath Singh and it was accepted.
Accompanied by her MP son Dushyant, Raje who met party patriarch Atal Bihari Vajpayee said that he has sent her letter to all the eleven members of the board as they were the ones who have taken the decision.
Even though Raje refused to reveal the content of the letter saying that she has always been a 'disciplined member of the party', there are reports that she has not only alleged lack of democracy and accountability in the party, but also has said that the party had no respect for women.
