Gill speaks to Kalmadi over dispute with CWF
New Delhi, Oct 21: In an effort to douse the fire between the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) and the 2010 Games Organising committee, sports minister, MS Gill met the OC chairman Suresh Kalmadi on Tuesday, Oct 20 to discuss the dispute between committee and CGF.
Gill had invited Kalmadi over to his residence to talk over the issues hindering the preparations for the 2010 games event in New Delhi. The Sports Minister also took stock of the progress of preparations along with discussing the contentious issues between the OC and the CGF.
Speaking to the media after the long meeting with Kalmadi, Sports Minister said that he will be talking to CGF Chief, Mike Fennell on telephone soon. He also informed that he will have a meeting with Fennell and CGF CEO, Mike Hooper along with Kalmadi in London on Oct 28.
