'Skint' Duchess of York 'chops posh 50th b'day bash plans'

London, October 14 (ANI): Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson has reportedly chopped plans for a posh 50th birthday bash over bankruptcy fears.

The debt-ridden former member of the British Royal Family, who will hit her half-century on October 15, will instead allegedly celebrate the occasion with just a dozen close friends and family at a London restaurant.

"Everyone is sad the party won't go ahead but reality has hit home. Her debts are out of control and the dam is set to burst," the Sun quoted a close pal as saying.

The source added: "It feels like bankruptcy is a case of 'when' rather than 'if'.

"If she doesn't get her finances under control she will end up millions in debt again. Someone may have to bail her out. It is not the fact she is over-spending or even extravagant. Sarah's problem is she has a big heart and can't stop trying to help other people. She is always flying to places and the costs are mounting up.

"Given the amount of work she does for others she deserves to be happy." (ANI)
