Ranbir encounter: CBI arrests 3 policemen
Dehradun, Oct 14: The CBI on Wednesday, Oct 14 arrested three policemen, who were allegedly involved in the fake encounter killing of MBA student Ranbir Pal in Dehradun two months ago.
22-year-old Ranbir, an MBA student, who was also working for a private bank, was shot dead by Dehradun Police on Jul 3 in the Ladpur jungles.

Uttaranchal police claim Ranbir was shot dead in an encounter after he fled with a sub-inspector's service revolver.
After the family alleging the encounter to be a fake one, the case was handed over to the CBI by the state government. The CBI had formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case.
According to the autopsy report, Ranbir's body had 12 bullet marks and 27 other injures.The SIT did not find any criminal record against Ranbir during their investigations.
