NCW to form guidelines for airlines staff
New Delhi, Oct 14: The National Commission for Women has decided to form certain guidelines for the airline industry, to ensure that the women employees have better working conditions.
The decision came in wake of increasing number of complaints from women airline crew members on lack of pay parity and sexual harassment at workplace.
The Commission may also be coming out with a report regarding the same by the end of this month.
NCW chairperson Girija Vyas said, "We will speak to private airlines and examine the rules in place. We will recommend certain changes to reduce conflict within the workplace."
Earlier, NCW had formed guidelines for the BPO sector after similar cases were reported from the IT industry.
