ONGC wins 13 blocks in hydrocarbon auction

New Delhi, Oct 13: Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) has won 13 out of 20 blocks in the auction of hydrocarbon assets.

Sources said the ONGC has bagged 11 offshore and two onland blocks. BHP Billiton has got three blocks, with Cairn Energy getting another two blocks.

Petroleum Secretary R S Pandey said, "If ONGC is getting those blocks, then they should find resources to meet their commitments."
