Maharashtra Chief Minister casts his vote
Mumbai, Oct 13 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan cast his vote here today.
After casting his vote, Chavan asked the people to come out and use their right to vote for their candidate.
Besides Chavan, Anil Ambani, Poonam Mahajan and Ajit Pawar also cast their votes.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena workers alleged that Congress MLA Janardhan Chandurkar was distributing money to lure voters.
Chandurkar, a three-term MLA, is contesting from Bandra (East) constituency. He is being questioned by the police.
For the Maharasthra Assembly, 3,559 contestants, including 211 women and 1,820 Independents are in the fray.
Most of the Independent candidates are rebels from the Congress, the Nationalist Congress Party and other parties. (ANI)
