Maha: Rahul Bose, Tendulkar, Ambani cast votes

Mumbai, Oct 13: Even though the many Mumbaikars did not show any enthusiasm in coming out and voting, big names like industrialist Anil Ambani, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Mumbai Police chief D Sivanandan, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and BCCI chief Shashank Manohar cast their votes early on Tuesday, Oct 13.

"Our focus will be on overall development of the state and providing a stable government. People think that Shiv Sena-BJP alliance won't be able to run the government. Price rise will not affect us," Pawar said after voting in Baramati of Pune district accompanied by daughter Supriya Sule and supporters.

"Youth voters form 60 per cent of total votes. We have a number of youth candidates. We are expecting a good number of votes," Deshmukh added.

Other who cast their vote in the Maharashtra Assembly polls include Union Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, daughter Praniti Shinde, a candidate from Solapur, Bollywood actor Rahul Bose and BJP candidate Poonam Mahajan were among others who cast their vote.
