Two scientists held for attempting human sacrifice

Gwalior, Oct 12: Two senior scientists of Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE) here were booked for allegedly attempting human sacrifice of their junior, Police said.

Shridha Sharma, wife of Sushil Kumar Mishra, a junior scientist at the DRDE, in her complaint accused two senior scientists of being involved in witchcraft and attempting to make a human sacrifice of her husband.

According to police, the accused, identified as Dr M Kameshwar Rao and Dr A S S V Bhaskar, have been charged under sections 506 (criminal intimidation), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (causing hurt) and 34 (act done by persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC.
