London, Oct 12 (ANI): Young Britons crave for traditional values, like eating at a family dining table, playing board games together and saying please and thank you, says a new survey.

The survey by the pollsters society has revealed that almost three quarters of young people aged 18 to 24 believe that the society had changed for the worse.he youngsters are ready to give up some TV for more traditional entertainment, such as family trips out and board games.

They would also like to eat around the family dining table and have less fast food.

Nine out of 10 people across all ages want a return to traditional values.

They said it was important to say please and thank you, and thought children should have better manners and be more respectful.

But, majority of the people who voted for the Chelsea Building Society thought life had got worse in the past 20 years.

Three quarters blamed poor school discipline, family breakdown or personal greed.

"Although some aspects of modern society are obviously important, this research indicates that Britain wants to refresh cherished traditions," The Daily Express quoted Tim Taylor, divisional director of customer services at the society, as saying. (ANI)
