28 killed in Pak suicide attack

Pakistan, Oct 12: A suicide attack in a market Malakand area killed at least 28 people and injured more than 40, reported the police.

The suicide attacker blew himself up near a security forces vehicle in the main market at Alpurai in Shangla district, which is part of the Malakand division.

The army launched a major operation against the Taliban in Malakand division in May 2009.

The present incident followed an attack on Pakistan army headquarters on Saturday, Oct 10.
