UK graduate, 24, designs 'world's greenest superyacht'!
London, October 11 (ANI): A 24-year-old British graduate has come up with the world's greenest superyacht that can hit speeds up to 10 knots without carbon emissions.
Alastair Callender designed the 190ft Soliloquy for his final-year project at Coventry University.
"After six hours sitting in a sunny harbour like Monaco, the superyacht's solar panels can store the power needed to run a four-bedroom house for eight days," Times Online quoted Callender as saying.
"It would be great if your extra power could be given to your neighbour in the marina with a gas guzzler, or even sold to the National Grid," Callender added.
The boat, which consists of 6,500 sq ft of solar panelling, is expected to sell for up to 40-million pounds when built. (ANI)
