1.1 km sound proof rail corridor near CWG village
New Delhi, Oct 8: Railways agreed to cover rail tracks for 1.1 kilometere with sound proof material near the Common Wealth Games Village to ensure a peaceful atmosphere to the athletes.
"When completed, it will be one its kind sound proof railway corridor in the country," said a senior Railway Ministry official.
He added that Delhi Development Authority (DDA) would complete the construction work in about three months.
