'Pak may issue Red Corner Notice against Mush'

Islamabad, Oct 7: Rehman Malik, the interior minister said that government may ask the Interpol to issue a Red Corner Notice against former President Pervez Musharraf regarding killing of Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Bugti.

Malik's remark followed the Balochistan High Court's direction to register a case against Musharraf and several of his close aides, including former premier Shaukat Aziz, in connection with the killing of Bugti in a military operation in 2006.

Malik added that government can ask the Interpol to issue Red Corner Notices for Musharraf and Aziz in case investigating officers in Balochistan requested for the same.

The Balochistan High Court ordered a First Information Report and an investigation in response to a petition filed by Bugti's son Jamil Akbar Bugti.

Bugti was killed with 37 followers in a military operation in Dera Bugti on August 2006.
