One army soldier injured in Kashmir encounter

Pampore (J-K) Oct 6 (ANI): One army soldier was injured in an encounter with militants in Pampore in South Kashmir.

According to sources, an encounter continues in the forest near Pampore.

Earlier, in a day, a top leader of the Hizbul Mujahideen was killed when security forces engaged militants in Udhampur district.

According to sources, following some specific information about the presence of militants in Dibru Top area, the Special Task Force, the BSF and the Rashtriya Rifles launched a joint operation in the area.

The slain militant has been identified as Mohammad Osama.

One AK-47, 2 magazines and a radio set were recovered from the site of encounter. (ANI)
