Bihar magistrate's court issues arrest warrant against MNS chief Raj Thackeray
Muzafurpur, (Bihar) Oct 6 (ANI): A first class judicial magistrate's court issued an arrest warrant against Maharashtra Nav Niraman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray for making hate speeches against the people of Bihar on Tuesday.
Magistrate Sahab Kaushar, asked the Mumbai Police Commissioner to produce Thackeray before the court on or before November 2.
He also expressed his unhappiness over the non-compliance of an order of the court by Thackeray to represent his side on previous dates.
Earlier, a senior advocate, Sudhir Ojha, had filed a complaint in February 2008 under Section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), before the then Chief Judicial Magistrate J K Sinha, seeking legal action against Thackeray.
In his petition, Ojha alleged that Thackeray had made uncharitable, insulting and hate speeches against the people of Bihar on January 31, 2008. (ANI)
