Manipur: Three militants killed in encounter
Imphal, Oct 4: Three militants were killed and a police commando was injured in an encounter in Bihenpur district of Manipur, police said on Sunday, Oct 4.
The militants fired at the commandos attached to Bishenpur district police station when they were patrolling in Leimaram area, about 35 km from here.
An M 16 rifle and several rounds of ammunition were recovered from the spot.
The injured commando was admitted to a hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
More than 300 people have been killed by militants in Manipur in 2009.
