TN: BJP slams posters portraying Stalin as God
Chennai, Oct 3: Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister MK Stalin being depicted as the Lord Subramaniyam has invited criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) party cadres in Karur district have placed posters showing Stalin as the Hindu god. There are also other posters which show Stalin on the right side of a currency note of Rs 1,000 and Chief Minister, S Karunanidhi, on the left of the note.
This has not gone well with the BJP.
In an interview at the party office in Chennai, BJP's state unit president L Ganesan said, "The sycophancy of DMK cadres has stooped to the level, so low, that they have depicted their leader Stalin as Lord Subramaniam. It is hurting the sentiments of people. We will not allow it. The DMK should openly seek an apology from the public."
