Pak govt. following Musharraf's policies to undermine country's sovereignty: Imran
Islamabad, Oct.3 (ANI): Cricketer turned politician Imran Khan has said officials of the private US security firm, Blackwater, are moving freely in Pakistan and has criticized the Gilani government for following the policies of former President General Pervez Musharraf.
Khan claimed that the Blackwater has established its office in Peshawar.
Critisizing the PPP government for accepting the Kerry Lugar Bill, which offers Pakistan 1.5 billion dollars of annual aid over the next five years, the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief said the government was following Musharraf's policies.
"The US needs us, we don't, but the rulers are following the policies of Musharraf to undermine Pakistan's sovereignty and solidarity under the Kerry-Lugar Bill," The News quoted Khan, as saying.
Terming the US assistance as 'peanuts', he said America was treating Pakistan worse than Iraq and Afghanistan. (ANI)
