Brit schoolboy fathers baby girl at 13

London, Oct 3: In yet another instance of teenage pregnancy, a 16-year-old girl gave birth to a baby girl fathered by a schoolboy aged just 13.

The Manchester lad, who has become one of the Britain's youngest father, was 'chuffed to bits' after his girlfriend, gave birth to a baby girl this week, reports The Mirror.

Both their families have vowed to support the youngsters.

The boy's father told The Mirror, "My son is mature for his age and will make a good father. He will make a better dad than most 25-year-old men would."

They are said to have been in a relationship for some time, although they did not go to the same school.

His father added, "He isn't bewildered about about what has happened. He was a bit shocked at first but now he's chuffed to bits."

The dad went on, "She thought he was much older than he was and I think he even lied about his age at first, like lads do.

"They didn't go to the same school but they have been together for ages and they are in love."

His father added, "He will carry on with his schooling and get a basic grounding before he looks for a full-time job."
