Brit bakers make bread and butter pudding weighing the same as two baby elephants!

London, October 3 (ANI): A bread and butter pudding weighing 3,300lb, nearly the same as two baby elephants, was created to celebrate British Food Fortnight.

The record-breaking dessert measured 7ft by 5ft.

It took a team of seven bread experts from Hovis 49 hours to make it.

They used over 1,000 slices of bread, 70 apples and 56 eggs to create the pudding, which was prepared and cooked at the Hovis test bakery in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

The pudding was finally devoured by staff.

"It was touch and go for a moment," the Telegraph quoted Graham Duckworth, product development manager from Hovis, as saying.

"No one's ever created a bread and butter pudding on this scale before but through a lot of hard work we managed to pull it off.

"It's an unbelievable achievement. I still can't believe we did it. It tasted great and we're all enjoying tucking in. Though we've got a lot of washing up to do," Duckworth added. (ANI)
