JK: Pak violates ceasefire, 1 intruder killed

Jammu, Oct 2: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel killed an unidentified infiltrator after Pakistan violated ceasefire along the International Border (IB) in Jammu on Thursday night, Oct 1, official sources said.

Sources said that Pakistani troops reportedly fired small arms from across the border at Mangral border outpost of Indian territory in Ranbir Singh Pura sector.

BSF troops killed an unidentified infiltrator who was trying to sneak into the Indian territory taking cover of the firing from across the border, the sources said.

''The intermittent firing from across the border was continuing till last reports received,'' they added.

According to the intelligence sources, ''About 50-60 militants are waiting at various launch pads on the other side of the IB to infiltrate into the Indian territory.
