Neha Dhupia raises concerns over global warming

New Delhi, Oct 1(ANI): Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia on Thursday expressed concerned to see increase in global warming, and said that she was participating in campaigns to create and spread awareness about benefits of a green earth.

Dhupia said this while interacting with media persons on the sidelines of an exhibition of gold and golden ornaments held in the national capital on Thursday.

Dhupia said she is promoting the cause of green and prompted the society to follow suit.

"Right now I am very heavily promoting green earth and all negative aspects about global warming. It is absolutely disturbing as to see how much global warming there is. Wherever I go I tell people to go green. Wherever I go I tell people to use more and more carpools, to stop drinking water out of plastic bottles," Neha Dhupia said.

"I can see lots of them lying around and try turn off their switches when they are not using them at home. But, I am really promoting the cause of green. But, I think it's something we all need to wake up and give more attention to," she added.

India has already announced several steps to fight global warming, such as extensive harnessing of solar power, expanding forest cover and bringing in domestic energy efficiency trading. (ANI)
