CRPF bids adieu to martyrs in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sep.30 (ANI): Top brass of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force bid adieu to three of their colleagues on Wednesday who were killed fighting suspected militants in Kashmir.
The three personnel-Ramesh Alohia, Pratap Singh and D R Singh-belonged to No. 179 CRPF Battalion.
On Tuesday, all the three were killed. Two women were also wounded near a crowded bus stand in Sopore town.
The bodies of three soldiers were brought to Humhama from Sopore for the wreath laying ceremony.
No militant group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
"The debt of the motherland is paid only by sheer blood. These men are fortunate they have paid it. We are still indebted to the otherland," said N C Asthana, Inspector General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Kashmir. (ANI)
