Mullah Omar not hiding in Quetta: Malik
Lahore, Sep.29 (ANI): Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has rejected media reports that top Taliban commander Mullah Omar was hiding in Quetta.
A private television channel quoted Malik as saying that Omar was in Kandahar, Afghanistan and not in Quetta as was reported by The Sunday Times.
He also denied that the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) was helping the Quetta based Taliban leadership council in its fight against the foreign troops in Afghanistan.
"The ISI's role in fighting the Taliban had been acknowledged by international intelligence establishments. The report is an attempt to undermine Pakistan's efforts in the fight against terrorism," The Daily Times quoted Malik, as saying. (ANI)
