Russians Oligarchs' London pad to rival Queen's palace

London, Sept 27 (ANI): A high-profile Russian political family is all set to give stiff competition to the Queen's Buckingham Palace, as they plan British capital's second biggest residential building at a cost of about 100 million pounds.

The Witanhurst, a dilapidated mansion in Highgate, north London, was purchased for 50 million pounds by a British Virgin Islands-based company.

However, sources say the real owner is Yelena Baturina, the richest woman of Russia and the wife of Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov, reports Timesonline.

The designs of the soon-to be-built house show that the basement of the house will be one of the biggest in London.

The luxurious pad will have a 33-seat cinema, a beauty parlour, and a swimming pool.

The plan also shows a car lot for 24 cars with an elevator to take the vehicles up two stories to the street level. (ANI)
