Mahanavami being celebrated across the country

New Delhi, Sep 27 (ANI) : The festivities of Mahanavami is being celebrated across the country on Sunday ahead of the culmination of the Navratri festivities.

Mahanavami mark the ninth day of Navratri celebration.

On Saturday, Navratri festivities reached its crescendo as people worshiped Goddess Durga during Maha Ashtami.

People across the country offered prayers to the Divine Mother.

In view of the large number of the devotees, high security arrangements have been made at different places of the country.

In Mumbai, a large number of devotees were seen worshiping at the pandals.

The Navratri and Durga Puja celebrations have a special fervour in the Holy city of Allahabad with the Puja pandals decked up at several places and special prayers being offered. (ANI)
