TTP claims responsibility for Bannu suicide attack
Islamabad, Sep.26 (ANI): The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack on a police station in Bannu in which six persons were killed and 60 others wounded on Saturday.
According to sources, TTP spokesperson Qari Hussain has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
Attackers crashed a mini-truck loaded with explosives into the police station building destroying it completely and killing six people including two children and two policemen.
Eye witnesses said the blast was so powerful that it created an eight-foot deep crater on the attack site, The News reports.
Officials said the vehicle used in the suicide blast was loaded with over 320 kilograms of explosives.
Police has also claimed that the head and legs of the suicide bomber have been recovered from the spot, saying that the initial reports suggest the attacker was a teenager. (ANI)
