Obama finally agrees to meet Brown after five snubs
Pittsburgh, Sep 26(ANI): United States President Barack Obama has finally agreed to meet UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown following continuous pressure from Downing Street.
Both the personalities met during the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh.
The White House announced the 'bi-lateral' meeting for a one-to-one talk, after five requests made by Britain were rebuffed, The Telegraph reports.
The meeting scheduled at the end of the Pittsburgh summit is being seen as a consolation for the earlier refusals to meet.
According to reports, Downing Street has been infuriated by reports of a "snub" and officials have rallied the White House spokesmen to carry out statements backing the 'special relationship'. (ANI)
