Maha Polls: Dutt siblings campaigning for rivals

Mumbai, Sep 26: Maharashtra Assembly Elections has put forth a very interesting Dutt Vs Dutt scenario, as the siblings campaign for candidates from rival parties from the same constituency.

While Congress MP Priya Dutt will be campaigning for party leader and former minister Baba Siddiqui, Bollywood actor and the Samajwadi Party general secretary Sanjay Dutt will campaign for advocate Rizwan Merchant.

Siddiqui a confidant of the Dutt family for over three decades is contesting against Merchant from the Bandra West constituency.

Other popular candidates contesting in the Maharashtra polls this time include, Kalavati Bandurkar and Vinod Kambli.

Kalavati, a widow of a farmer who shot to popularity after Rahul Gandhi mentioned her name in his speech has filed her nomination on Friday, Sep 25. Cricketer-turned-politician, Vinod Kambli is contesting the upcoming Assembly Election from Vikhroli constituency.
