Reliance launches 8 series no. in Karnataka

Bangalore, September 24: The Department of Telecommunications allotted Reliance Communications, Karnataka Circle the first ever mobile number series beginning with '8'.

“We are proud to be allotted the new number series beginning with 8088". It is a special feeling to have a number beginning with 8 which is commonly associated with the STD code of Bangalore," said Rupak Agarwal, Karnataka Circle Head, Reliance Communications.

"We are sure that the new 8088 series will help our customers differentiate our services in a crowded 9 series market and provide the necessary innovative value."

Till now the customers were provided with the numbers beginning with 9 series.

But now the '8' series number would be available to both pre-paid and post-paid platforms across its GSM network in Karnataka.
