Soon, 'chip on the shoulder' to remind patients to take pills
London, Sept 23 (ANI): Patients who often forget to take regular doses of medicines will now be reminded by a "chip on their shoulder".
The miniature sensor will be pinned onto a patients shoulder and will receive wireless signals from tiny chips inside pills.
The chips in the pills would be absolutely digestible.
Pharmaceutical company, Novartis and technology company, Proteus Biomedical have joined hands to develop the innovative idea, reports the Telegraph.
The sensor would also help doctors keep a check on their patients' medication regime.
Irregular medication often reduces the benefits of medicines, but this new technology is sure to bring a health change in the lives of many patients. (ANI)
