Saeed invited in Pak army's Iftar party

New Delhi, Sep 22: Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai attack, who was put under house arrest on Monday, Sep 21, was an invitee in the Pakistan army's 10th corps hosted Iftar party held on Saturday, Sep 12.

The 10th corps in Rawalpindi responsible for the Kashmir sector is said to have a role in pushing infiltrators across the Line of Control into Jammu and Kashmir.

The JuD boss also heads the LeT, responsible for posting 'jihadis' in Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said Saeed's presence at the Iftar showed Pakistan's level of seriousness in dealing with somebody whom India held responsible for the Mumbai attacks.

On Monday, Sep 21, Pakistan police confirmed that Saeed was put under house arrets on security grounds and was banned from leading Eid prayers.

The 10th corps iftar took place just five days before the FIRs were filed against Saeed.
