China denies incursions along LAC
New Delhi, Sept 22 (ANI): China on Tuesday flatly denied reports of incursions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
Talking to reporters after meeting with Home Secretary G K Pillai here, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yan said: "Nothing is happening. You listen to your leaders."
Last week, Yan had met National Security Adviser M K Narayanan and Joint Secretary in-charge of China in MEA Vijay Gokhale.
Earlier, reacting on Chinese incursions, Chief of Army staff General Deepak Kapoor had said that there has been no increase in Chinese incursions along the Sino-Indian border.
Indian media had reported that two soldiers of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were injured in firing from across the border on the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh, part of which China claims as its territory.ndia, however, denied that two of its border guards were injured in firing by Chinese forces.
China claims about 90,000 sq km of Arunachal Pradesh along their border as part of its territory. (ANI)
