Two kilograms heroine seized in Punjab
Firozpur, Sept 20 (ANI): The Border Security Force (BSF) has seized two kilograms of heroine at DT Mall in Firozpur district on the Indo-Pak border of Punjab.
The security personnel in a special search recovered two packets containing one kg of heroin each. The packets were buried in a field.
"We got a tip off that some heroin was buried in the area of DT Mull. BSF personnel in small groups began the search. They saw some loose earth when they reached the pillar number195/5.They dug up the spot and saw a blue colour polythene hidden there. When they opened the polythene, there were two packets of heroin in that. Now, we are investigating how they reached here," said Rajesh Gupta, Deputy Inspector-General, BSF.
This is the latest haul following a series of seizures of narcotics. (ANI)
