Vibrant colour attires dazzle ramp at Mumbai's Lakme Fashion Week
Mumbai, Sept 19 (ANI): Models sashayed the ramp in vibrant colours at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) for fashion designer Anita Dongre's collection especially designed for the upcoming festival season.
Dongre presented her maiden label 'Timeless' and showcased folk feel of Rajasthan in traditional ghagra-cholis and traditional drape sarees made from velvets and intricately woven silks and glittering brocades.
Dongre's colour palette was full of vibrant reds, blues, steel gray and black.
"'Timeless' is an Indian wear. I am going to use colour full on. So I enjoy doing so much of colour," Dongre said.
Born and brought up in Jaipur, she went back to her roots and presented a collection with complete feeling of Rajasthan starting from the traditional fabric, to intricate embroidery to magnificent 'Kota' work on it.
The background score of Dongre's show also gelled well with the collection as traditional folk music and Rajasthani vocals were being played.
