Israel warns possible terror attacks in India soon

Jerusalem, Sep 18: Israel has warned that Pakistan militants are preparing attacks in India similar to those that occurred in Mumbai 2008, officials here said on Thursday, Sep 17.

Israel's counter-terrorism bureau at National Security Council (NSC) in a travel warning for Israeli tourists in India rated the threat as "imminent and concrete", putting special emphasis on the Jammu Kashmir region.

"The terrorist group that carried out the serious Mumbai attack in India is planning to carry out a number of attacks across India, particularly against concentrations of Western or Israeli tourists," warned a statement from the counter-terrorism unit.

The bureau has advised Israelis currently in India to avoid crowed areas, especially tourist areas, which have no apparent armed security.
